Story

At Wellness Counseling Center of Texas, we are dedicated to providing practical, compassionate, and effective counseling services that support meaningful and lasting change. Our mission is to help individuals improve their emotional and physical well-being while building more balanced, productive, and fulfilling lives. Since our founding in 2009, our practice has grown to include Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, each bringing specialized training and experience to address a wide range of mental and behavioral health concerns. We believe that seeking counseling is a powerful and positive step toward change. Our goal is to provide you with the tools, insight, and support needed to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Angela Davis

Clinical Director/BA, LCDC

Angela Davis is a seasoned substance abuse professional with over 20 years of experience in the field of addiction counseling and recovery services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Southern New Hampshire University and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) credentialed in 2012. Ms. Davis also brings the strength of 26 years of personal sobriety, which forms her clinical perspective and enhances her ability to connect with and support individuals in recovery.

Ray Suell

MS LCDC

Ray Suell Jr. holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas and a
Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. He
began his career in substance use counseling in 2012 and became a fully licensed
Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in 2017. Driven by personal experiences witnessing the impact of addiction on family members.
Mr. Suell developed a deep commitment to helping individuals and families navigate the
challenges of substance use and recovery. He is passionate about empowering clients
with the tools and support necessary to achieve lasting change.

Sharon Shelley

LPC-S

Sharon is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over five years of clinical experience and a deep-rooted commitment to helping individuals reclaim their narratives. After a distinguished 35-year career as a Special Educator, Sharon transitioned into counseling to continue her purpose of helping people move beyond survival to truly thrive.  Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Sharon utilizes an evidence-based approach that explores the powerful connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions. She provides a dedicated space that offers both empathy and practical solutions for clients navigating the heavy weight of trauma or the constant hum of anxiety.

Sharyn Campbell

LCDC, LPC

Sharyn Campbell brings a powerful blend of clinical expertise, personal insight, and deep compassion to her work as both a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Her journey into counseling was born from her own lived experience—overcoming the lingering effects of childhood trauma, anxiety, and depression. Through healing and personal growth, Sharyn felt called to walk alongside others navigating similar emotional wounds. Her specialties include working with adult survivors of childhood abuse, individuals impacted by domestic violence, and couples experiencing relational conflict.

Donna White

MS, LPC, LCDC

Donna White is a dedicated mental health professional with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals facing substance use challenges and life stressors. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the complexities of substance use, trauma, and learning how to navigate life in a healthy sustainable way. Her credentials include licenses in Professional Counseling (LPC) and Chemical Dependency Counseling (LCDC). Her role is to provide tools and guidance to help patients become the person they want to be. As an LPC she specializes in trauma-informed therapy and affirming care. Her passion includes creating a safe compassionate space where clients feel supported in their journey to heal, grow, and thrive.

Laura Miranda

Office Manager

Laura Miranda brings a strong background in leadership, organization, and client-focused service to her role at Wellness Counseling Center of Texas. Originally from El Paso, Laura attended the University of Texas at El Paso majoring in accounting. She later moved to Victoria, Texas, where she focused on raising her family before reentering the workforce. After relocating to Houston, Laura built a successful career in management, starting in retail and advancing to oversee large teams in a call center environment and then on to large and small offices. Her experience across multiple leadership roles has shaped her ability to create efficient systems while maintaining a supportive and positive workplace culture.

Lorena Salinas

Administrative Assistant

Lorena was raised in Houston, Texas, where she has lived her entire life. Her responsibilities include scheduling clients efficiently and helping support smooth day-to-day operations, which has strengthened her organization and communication skills. She is currently a college student pursuing a career in healthcare, and through her work at the wellness counseling center, she is building knowledge and skills focused on patient care and overall wellness.
